No. The adjustment happens entirely in your browser with the Web Audio API. Your audio never leaves your device.
How loud can I make it?
Up to 300% of the original level. Peaks are hard-limited to [-1, 1] on export to prevent digital clipping, though large boosts can still sound harsh.
Will boosting the volume add noise?
Boosting raises everything, including any background hiss — so a quiet, noisy recording will get louder and noisier. Increase in small steps and listen.
What format is the output?
A lossless 16-bit WAV, accepted by virtually every editor, DAW and platform.
